The Santoro Short is a handcrafted pendant light that leads with its shade — and rightfully so. A generous 24″ diameter white burlap drum, finished along both top and bottom edges with hand-applied brown leather whipstitch trim, the Santoro shade is a piece of textile craft as much as it is a lighting component. The whipstitch detail draws the eye around the entire circumference of the shade, adding warmth, texture, and a distinctly artisanal quality that no production pendant can replicate. An acrylic diffuser ensures the two Edison bulbs deliver smooth, even downward illumination without hot spots — making the Santoro as functional as it is beautiful. The oiled bronze iron canopy, chain, and hook hardware complement the burlap and leather palette with quiet authority.

The Santoro Short occupies a design space that very few handmade pendants inhabit — the intersection of relaxed ranch style, coastal casual, and refined rustic. The burlap and leather combination speaks equally to a Montecito estate, a wine country farmhouse, a coastal lodge, and a boutique hospitality dining room where the designer wants warmth and texture without formality or fussiness. At 24″ wide and 22″ tall, it is scaled for single use over a round dining table or kitchen island, and equally compelling installed in multiples over a long table or a hospitality bar run.
